About the Therapist

Nita Keesler has been a nationally certified massage therapist since 1994, and is a member of the ABMP (Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals) and The Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce. A graduate of the Pennsylvania School of Muscle Therapy, her work focuses on helping each person bring a sense of awareness and balance to their body, and their life. Helping the body to create healing changes within itself and educating each client in personal wellness along with techniques to enhance the benefits of massage on their own in between massage sessions. She fully believes in empowering each individual to relieve stress and release restrictions in the body that can create aches, pains and limited movement.

Nita thrives on expanding her knowledge and education and has also been a part-time massage therapy instructor since 2001. She has extended her training and integrates techniques that include Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Sports Massage, Therapeutic Assisted Stretching Techniques, Guided Imagery, and Bach Flower Remedies along with massage for relaxation purposes.

In addition to this, her formal training includes Alternative Treatment for Repetitive Strain Injuries, Foot Reflexology, Maternity Massage, Holistic Lymph Drainage, Cancer Massage, Neural Repatterning, Aromatherapy, LaStone Therapy, Raindrop Therapy, Reiki I & II, Orthopedic Massage, Thai-Yoga Techniques, Intro Levels to Polarity and Shiatsu techniques, and Professional Ethics. She also received her Cosmetology license in 1990.

Nita has also studied extensively on her own, including various components of wellness, fitness, nutrition, energy work, metaphysical studies, writing, animal studies and much more. She enjoys learning how small changes can profoundly affect health for the better.

Nita has taught a Swedish Massage Curriculum for 3 years, as well as intro levels of Maternity Massage, Reflexology, Sports massage, NMT, MFR, Spa Treatments, Business for the Massage Professional, and Team Building Exercises. She now offers various Wellness Workshops for personal enrichment. She is passionate about helping people to understand the importance of Posture & Flexibility, as well as giving tools to couples and friends to relieve stress and give each other the gift of therapeutic massage when they attend her classes.

Nita believes in the need for balancing the body/mind/spirit connection. She has always enjoyed making people feel better and is able to do this in a safe, nurturing, therapeutic environment. She has also been honored by being voted one of the best massage therapists of Philadelphia in Philadelphia Magazine (February 2002)

Nita's future goal is to create an Animal Sanctuary and human retreat space. This will be a place that older animals or those with disabilities or difficult to place will come to rest in their final years, but also have the job of therapy animals for various groups or individuals who would like to volunteer their time to help with their care. She is taking the "best of the best" of all the things she has experienced and wrapping it into one place, and being able to include her first love, animals~ as well as helping people who need the contact and sense of community into her mission and daily life.

Nita also loves to write. In addition to this Website, Newsletters and Articles, she is working on several ideas for future books, poetry, guided imagery cd's and a book/video set for Posture & Flexibility. She enjoys being able to find inspiration for these in some rather unlikely places, using "life lesson's" and seeing how everything truly does tie into each other. Everything is Connected in this Web of Life.
